The final judge for this year's award is Nina Kiriki Hoffman, a fantasy and science fiction author whose many distinctions include a number of World Fantasy and Nebula Award nominations. The screening judge will be Rosebud Editor Roderick Clark. Original unpublished works of fantasy, fiction, mystery and horror are welcome, but the editors are also open to any stories that reach beyond the boundaries of those genres, take a variety of literary and creative risks, and tell a good story. Ideal length is 1000 to 3500 words, but we will consider up to 45 00 words. Names may appear on the manuscripts. Authors need not be US citizens. Include cover letter with contact info. Name may appear on the Cover page, but not on each page. To enter: Send one typed copy of your short story, a required reader's fee of $10 (or if you would like a copy of the issue in which the winners appear, $15) payable to ROSEBUD / SHELLEY AWARD, and a stamped, self-addressed envelope so that you can be notified when the winners are selected. People may enter as many times as they wish as long as a ten dollar fee accompanies each entry. For return of reply and manuscript, provide larger envelope with sufficient postage.
