The names of the winners, the judge’s comments on these
marvelous pieces, and the winning pieces themselves will be published in the
August issue of ROSEBUD, #39. The judges, Roderick Clark and Robert Wake, once
again found themselves deeply impressed and somewhat overwhelmed by the mass of
fine writing submitted. “I feel honored to have been access to the vital life
experiences of so many remarkable people from the U.S. and around the world,”
Rosebud Editor and Publisher Clark observes. “I feel as though hundreds of
people had invited me to share some of the most profound and intimate moments of
their lives. I am impressed by their talent and courage, and feel privileged and
somewhat awed to have had their work pass through my hands.” The deadline for
the next Kennedy award is December 31st, 2008.
